Short term accommodation (STA) is a support service that provides people with disabilities with a place to stay for a short period of time, usually up to 14 days. STA can be used for a variety of reasons, such as:
To provide respite for caregivers
To allow people with disabilities to participate in activities or events that they would not be able to do from home
To provide a safe and supportive place to stay during a crisis or emergency
To provide a transition period for people who are moving from a residential care facility to independent living

How to Access Short Term Accommodation
Short term accommodation is funded through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). To access STA, you must have a NDIS plan that includes funding for this support. You can then contact a registered NDIS provider to arrange STA services.
